Start with the sign schedule and governing standard

List every room, permanent space, exit and directional message. Include text, braille language, pictograms, colours, substrates and fixing surfaces.

Give the manufacturer the applicable accessibility standard instead of asking for a generic compliant sign. Requirements vary by country and project type.

Approve tactile details on a physical sample

Check character profile, braille dot shape and spacing, contrast, edge finish and mounting method. A printed proof can confirm layout but cannot prove tactile height or dot geometry.

How suppliers are selected

These rules determine which directory profiles appear and how the list is ordered.

Directory eligibility: The build starts from profiles with a stable slug and either a description or a specific, non-General speciality.
Hub relevance: A profile must list a speciality that resolves to Braille signs.
Supplier scope: This hub is selected from profiles with canonical braille-sign capability. Accessibility claims, jurisdictional compliance, wholesale pricing and installation responsibility remain buyer checks.
List order: Verified profiles appear first, followed by premium profiles, then the remaining names in alphabetical order.
Active filter: This view additionally requires the selected destination: France.

What to verify before ordering

These are checks for the buyer to make with a shortlisted supplier; the directory does not pre-verify each claim.

Canonical braille capability: The profile lists braille signs or an ADA signs alias that resolves to the same directory capability.
Standards evidence: The supplier can name the standard used for characters, braille, contrast and mounting guidance.
Proof and sample process: The buyer can approve copy and layout, then inspect tactile production before the full batch runs.
